Sir,
I am directed to inform you that in view of your having been reported by the Field Marshall Commanding in Chief of the British Armies in France, as unsuited owing to age and physical unfitness for further service with the Chinese Labour Corps, for which you were specially commissioned, it is regretted there is no alternative but that you shall relinquish your commission.
Necessary notification of which will appear in an early Gazette.
You have been granted the honorary rank of Second Lieutenant with a right to wear uniform on ceremonial occasions of a military nature.
